ceramic tile is an indispensable material in home decoration, but ceramic tile laying is a technical work. How to lay ceramic tiles well? Due to the variety, style, specification and application space of ceramic tiles, the tiling process is also different. Now let's take a look at the tile paving process and the tile paving method

ceramic tile paving process flow

ceramic tile paving process flow &mdash& mdash; Floor tile paving process

process: base treatment → Snap line → Pre paving → Paving → Pointing → Clean up

1. Base course treatment: thoroughly clean the dust and sundries, and there shall be no hollowing, cracking, sanding and other defects

2. Snap lines: before construction, snap elevation control lines around the wall and cross lines on the ground to control the separation size of floor tiles

3. Pre paving: first, strictly select the color, texture, surface smoothness, etc. of the floor tiles on the basis of the drawing design requirements, and then pre pave according to the drawing requirements. Adjust and exchange the size, color and texture errors that may occur in the pre paving until the best effect is achieved, and stack them neatly according to the paving

4. Paving: 1:3 dry and hard cement mortar is selected for paving, and the thickness of mortar is about 25mm. Before paving, wet the back of the floor tile and dry the front. Place the floor tile on the cement mortar as required, and tap the floor tile finish gently with a rubber hammer until it is dense and flat to meet the requirements

5. Jointing: the floor tiles shall be cleaned and jointed 24h after paving. Before jointing, the impurities in the floor tile joints shall be wiped away and pointed with special joint filler

6. Cleaning: during the construction of tiling in home decoration, clean it as soon as it is dry. After the completion (generally after 24h), use cotton yarn and other things to clean the surface of the floor tile

ceramic tile paving process &mdash& mdash; Wall tile paving process

1. Inner wall tiles: the inner wall tiles are glazed ceramic tiles. They should be soaked in water for more than two hours before construction, and then dry in the shade. Then they can be paved. The wet pasting method construction process should be adopted. The cement mortar should use the ratio of 2:1, and the white cement or special jointing agent should be used for jointing. The gap between bricks should be very small. Pure cement cannot be used to stick wall tiles, which is easy to produce hollowing or cause wall tiles to crack

2. Exterior wall tiles: most of the exterior wall tiles are ceramic tiles. Generally, there is no need to soak in water, and the wet paste method 2:1 cement mortar construction process is also used. However, a small amount of 801 glue should be added to the cement mortar to increase the paste strength. Generally, pure cement is used for pointing, and the gap between bricks is required to be about 8-10mm. When plastering wall tiles, the base course should be fully wetted, the horizontal mark line should be snapped on the wall surface, and the vertical calibration line should be hung. At the same time, the surface flatness should be checked, and the pointing treatment should be carried out within 24 hours after the paving

3. High grade wall tiles: in the paving process of high-grade wall tiles, it is required to first use 1:1 cement mortar for the base course, roughen the surface, and then use special wall tile paste for paving. This construction method has high cost, and is not recommended for general home decoration

paving method of ceramic tiles

dry paving method:

floor tiles should be paved dry in theory. After watering and wetting the base, remove floating sand and sundries. Plaster the bonding layer, use one to three dry cement mortar, pave and level it according to the horizontal line, put the brick on the mortar and vibrate it with a rubber hammer, remove the ground brick, pour and plaster the cement mortar, and then place the ground brick and vibrate it

wet paving method:

the difference between dry paving method and dry paving method is to replace one to three dry cement mortar with ordinary water and cement mortar. The tile floor with wet paving method may produce hollows and bubbles, which will affect the service life of the floor tiles. However, due to the simple operation and low price of the wet paving method, many families still use the wet paving method to pave the floor

tips: wall tiles can only be paved wet; Floor tiles can be paved dry or wet. Large floor tiles are generally paved dry, while wet paving is recommended for places other than large tiles and where the thickness is required (sometimes pasted directly with plain ash). The dry paving method is mostly used in the living room and bedroom space, while the wet paving method is used in the bathroom and kitchen, which is similar to the wall paving method

using the dry paving method effectively avoids the occurrence of bubbles, hollowing and falling off of tiles during the paving process of floor tiles. However, due to the labor-intensive and high technical content of the dry paving method of floor tiles, the cost of the general dry paving method is much higher than that of the wet paving method

this is a brief introduction to the above tile laying process and tile laying methods. I hope it will be helpful to you. Please look forward to more information
